Personal Communication
What does this mean for tuition?
Every child is unique and so we always tailor tuition to suit them, and you. If you have specific requests or concerns at any point in your journey, please let us know and we will do our best to support you.

When you start tuition, your tutor can create a bespoke timetable for you which will include the dates of tutorials and what they plan on covering in each. The purpose of these plans are to help you stay informed and up-to-date on your child’s progress, plus they are a good way of making sure your tutor is aware of, and your child is prepared in time for, any goals you have on the horizon.
What can this mean for you?
At Townhouse, we understand that your time is precious and that juggling tuition alongside the rest of life can be tricky, that's why we personalise not just our tutorials, but your experience too. From vital information like telling us what days you want lessons, to simple preferences such as how you prefer to be contacted, we encourage clear and regular communication to ensure you get exactly what you need from Townhouse.
Expertise & Experience
Having worked as a tutor herself since 2012, founder, Charlotte has an in depth knowledge of the UK education system and knows what is essential to providing high-quality tuition.

Unlike other companies that have 100s of tutors, we have chosen to work with a smaller number of expert tutors who we have carefully selected based on their exceptional experience, track record and qualifications.
At Townhouse, we ensure we stay up to date with the latest developments and changes to the National Curriculum, school and university entrance exams, and UK public exams. This insight is regularly shared with our tutors, all of whom are experts in their chosen fields and have extensive experience as educators.

Regular Feedback & Assessments
To help you stay informed with your child's tuition, Townhouse Education offers parents meetings and assessments which will give you a clear indication of how your child is progressing through their tuition.
What is an assessment?
We believe it is important for you to feel in control and informed about your child's progress, and assessments are one of the key ways we help you to do so. Each assessment is adapted to suit your child's level and goal. For instance, if your child is preparing to take 11+ exams, their assessment will take the format of their desired school’s exams and the content will cover what has been taught in tuition so far. Assessments don’t cost you anything and can be completed in your regular tutorial or in an additional session, or not at all - the choice is yours.
How We Find You The Perfect Tutor
1
Getting To Know You
We begin by taking the time to understand your child’s academic needs and goals. This can be done by phone or on Zoom and gives us both an opportunity to ask any questions and find out how we can best support you.
2
Finding Your Tutor
Using this information, our team carefully selects a tutor who is well suited to your requirements. Every tutor is thoroughly vetted and chosen not only for subject expertise, but also for their ability to build strong, supportive learning relationships.
3
Trial Lesson
Your trial lesson provides an opportunity for you and your child to meet their tutor. This session allows both student and tutor to establish rapport, assess learning needs and ensure the pairing feels right. Following the trial, we will check in with you to confirm next steps.
4
Moving Forward
Once you’re happy with your tutor, regular tutorials will begin. Consistent tuition allows tutors to plan effectively, track progress, and tailor lessons to your child’s development. Our team remains available throughout this stage to support scheduling, communication and any adjustments you may need.

We’ll be in touch each month, either to send your monthly invoices and reports (if applicable). But, if you ever need further support from Townhouse, we’re just a phone call away.
